All in One SEO Pack 3.4: Image SEO, Breadcrumbs, and More!

We are excited to announce that version 3.4 of All in One SEO has been released today!

This major release adds new features and includes many improvements and bug fixes.  In total there's over 60 improvements to All in One SEO.

Here are the biggest changes you'll find:

Image SEO module

This new feature for Pro customers with the Business License or above, enables you to globally control the the Title attribute and Alt text for images in your content.  Image Alt text and Title attributes are essential for both accessibility and SEO.  We know from user feedback how time consuming it can be to set these attributes when you have hundreds or thousands of images on your site.  This new feature module simplifies this time consuming task.

You can find full details on this new feature in our Image SEO documentation here.  If you've not upgraded to the Pro plugin yet, then this is yet another great reason to upgrade today!

Schema Breadcrumbs

Schema markup is essential for every website and in this release we've added breadcrumbs markup.  Breadcrumbs markup tells search engines about the structure of your website and where your content fits into your site.  This is then reflected in the search results snippet so that visitors can see at a glance where on your site they'll be taken.  This improves click through rates on search results. You don't need to do anything to activate this, it's output by default for you.

You can find more information in our Guide to Schema.org markup here.

XML Sitemap Priority and Frequency Control

Another major new feature for our Pro customers is granular control of your sitemap priority and frequency.

The XML Sitemap feature in All in One SEO has always let you control the Priority and Frequency for your content by post type and taxonomy but with 3.4, Pro customers now have granular control for each item of content on their site.  You can set the Priority and Frequency on the Edit screens for Posts, Pages, Media, Custom Post Types, Categories, Tags and Custom Taxonomies.  This gives you the most control of any SEO plugin available today!

Control Your Link Attributes

Finally you can control your hyperlink SEO attributes again!  A while back, WordPress dropped the ability to set the Link Title when you create links in your content.  Additionally, there was no way to set the nofollow attribute on individual links.  Search engines and SEO's have been vocal about the need to control this on a per link basis.  We're happy to say that with All in One SEO, you can now control the Link Title, Nofollow and Sponsored attributes for each link you create in your content.

You can learn more about this major feature in our documentation here.

And Much Much More!!!

These are just some of the 60+ improvements we've made to the longest running SEO plugin for WordPress. Check out our changelog for the full list of changes and feel free to leave us a comment below to let us know what you think.

  1. Image SEO module is for PRO Business licence what is wrong with Individual licence customer who pay more than PRO Business licence… If Image SEO module is not for individual licence part then next renewal I will cancel licence.. and also request to all indivdual licence customer cancel licence and go with other SEO service who can give all PRO option where customer can take completed advantage of their payment..

    1. Hi Prakash,

Like many other software companies, including many high profile WordPress plugin developers, we have features that are available to customers at different subscription levels. There has never been a time where the Individual License cost more than the Business License.

    1. Hi Fred, this feature is in the free plugin. There are no settings for it, you’ll see the JSON schema markup in the source code of your site.

    1. Yes, we’re released version 3.4 for the free plugin. The current version of the free plugin is v3.4.2

  2. Hi,
Say, I read that it is All In One SEO causing the “double link” issue in classic editor, and that you all were working on a fix for this. Can you say when it will be ready? Thanks.

  4. I get an email from PayPal when something has been sold from my shop but not from my wordpress site. Best I’ve ever managed is a gobble-de-gook email from Wordpress that alerts me something has happened. The email is nonsensicle but at least it alerts me to an order being place. My problem is I only sell a few items a month so I don’t check my site regularly. If someone pays to my bank account instead of by PayPal, I have no idea an order has been placed and I then have to rush around to get it completed in time. I’ve tried all the ways I can think of on the email screens but nothing works. Any solutions please, or guesses at common causes?

    1. Hi Graham, This is a feature of the eCommerce plugin you’re using so you’ll need to contact the support for that plugin and ask them for help with email notifications.
